The Kangiqsualujjuaq SUKUIJARVIK (Science Place) research station is owned and operated by the Centre d'études nordiques (CEN) whose secretariat is based at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. This station is part of the CEN Network. The station is administered in partnership with the community of Kangiqsualujjuaq and the Qiniqtiq Landholding Corporation.
Kangiqsualujjuaq is served by the commercial airline Air Inuit. Marine transportation is available twice a year. Access to the territory is possible by charter flight (seaplane and helicopter).
The facilities have an electric and soon solar power supply 24 hours a day, running drinking water and is heated with oil. Garbage collection is done frequently. Containers are available for this purpose. Recycling collection is not offered.
