General Information
The CEN and Sentinelle Nord student committees are hosting a 3-day writing retreat. The retreat will be at the beautiful and quiet Domaine du Geai bleu in the Chaudières-Appalaches regions (south of Quebec City).
The retreat will be held from Thursday November 21st at 11:30 to Saturday 23rd at 17:30 and will give you the opportunity to focus on writing your thesis or on other writing or analysis projects without distractions, as well as enjoy some time in nature and out of the city.
First come, first served! Registrations will open at noon on Wednesday, November 6th.
How it works
The retreat will consist of pomodoro-style writing periods, with breaks in between for sports, relaxation, and outdoor activities. Over the course of the retreat, you will be able to complete more than 20 hours of writing! You will also get the chance to meet and exchange ideas with students from other programs and universities.
Logistics and Application
Transportation: There will not be a bus, but we will be reimbursing transportation for carpool trips (or if you are the only person from your institution coming). Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about this.
Food: Food is also included in the retreat costs. We will have prepared food for lunches and suppers. We will also provide the supplies for the breakfasts, so all you have to do is toast and butter your own bread!
Overnight accommodation: Please bring your own bedding (sheets/sleeping bag and pillow).
30 places are available. Don’t miss out on this excellent chance to get in-depth work done, whether you’re in the final phase of thesis writing or just starting your project.
A deposit of 80$ is required to confirm your registration (this includes the cost of accommodation, food, and transportation for the duration of the retreat).
Don’t hesitate to ask your supervisor for funding!
